SHARON ISBIN's latest release is a 2-CD set of her greatest hits. SHARON ISBIN-GREATEST HITS includes Bach Lute Suites, Rodrigo concerti, concerti by Vivaldi and Lukas Foss, as well as solos by Albeniz, Barrios, Rodrigo and Villa-Lobos. Sharon's recently-released Concerto for Guitar and Orchestra (Yi2) is inspired by the ancient Chinese lute (pipa) and Chinese folk themes, and Christopher Rouse's Concert de Gaudi is a tribute to Spanish architect Antoni Gaudi.

ZIE MWEA (NATURAL CONDITIONS)

an album of music for gyil, kuar, voices and dancing, performed by Valerie Naranjo, Barry Olsen and Bernard Woma.

A specialist on the gyil, Valerie Naranjo has studied the instrument in Ghana, and researched and studied in seven other African countries. Valerie is featured on ZIE MWEA with Bernard Woma, the state ceremonial Atunpan drummer and the solo gyil player and lead master drummer with the National Dance Ensemble of Ghana, and with Barry Olsen, who performs Lobi and Dagara music from West Africa playing the kuar.
